PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involves upgrading the existing IT network infrastructure to improve reliability, performance, security, and centralized management. The work includes removing the existing hodgepodge of independently configured Wi-Fi networks and replacing them with a structured, unified network architecture.

The upgraded environment will support ISP load balancing and automatic network failover to improve internet availability, while separating network traffic for daily business operations, staff, IoT devices, IP cameras, and guest users. A dedicated guest captive portal will also be implemented to provide controlled visitor access without exposing internal business resources.

The overall objective is to create a more stable, scalable, and professionally managed network infrastructure that improves connectivity while providing stronger segmentation, security, and operational control.

SCOPE OF WORK

Latikin Limited will upgrade and reorganize the existing IT network infrastructure to provide improved reliability, performance, security, and centralized network management. The project will replace the existing hodgepodge of independently configured Wi-Fi networks with a structured and segmented network architecture designed to support current operations and future expansion.

The scope of work includes:

  • Assessing the existing network infrastructure, internet connections, wireless coverage, and connected devices.

  • Removing or reconfiguring legacy and independently operating Wi-Fi networks.

  • Consolidating wireless services into a centrally managed network environment.

  • Configuring multiple Internet Service Provider connections for load balancing.

  • Implementing automatic ISP failover to maintain internet connectivity if the primary connection becomes unavailable.

  • Creating separate network segments for daily business operations, staff devices, IoT devices, IP surveillance cameras, and guest users.

  • Implementing VLANs and appropriate network-access policies to isolate traffic between network segments.

  • Configuring dedicated wireless networks and SSIDs according to operational requirements.

  • Implementing a guest Wi-Fi network with a captive portal for controlled visitor internet access.

  • Configuring routing, switching, firewall, and access-control policies required to support the segmented network architecture.

  • Integrating existing compatible network devices into the new infrastructure.

  • Optimizing wireless access-point placement and configuration to improve coverage, roaming, and network performance.

  • Testing ISP load balancing, automatic failover, network segmentation, wireless connectivity, and internet access.

  • Verifying that IP cameras and IoT devices remain accessible only through their authorized network paths.

  • Documenting the implemented network structure and key configuration information for ongoing administration and support.

The completed upgrade will provide a more organized, scalable, secure, and resilient network environment while improving connectivity and simplifying ongoing network management.
